The biggest match-up in the Premier League this weekend involves two London sides currently battling for the fourth and final UEFA Champions League qualification slot. Chelsea hosts Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and come in looking for their first win over a top four rival since November.
It’s been a while, yes, but that wait is nothing compared to Spurs’ victory drought at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham hasn’t won at Chelsea since 1990. Mauricio Pochettino and his men would love to end this drought, and with it provide a serious, crushing blow to Chelsea’s Champions League hopes for next season.
In the overall series, Chelsea have 68 wins, Tottenham have 51, to go along with 40 draws.
Let’s take a look at who Pochettino may select in his starting XI for this one. Obviously being without Harry Kane is going to be extremely disadvantageous.
Center-forward Son
Attacking wings: Erik Lamela, Dele Alli
Centre-midfield: Moussa Dembele, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen
Back line: Ben Davies, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Kierian Trippier
Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris
Odds: Chelsea 7/5, Draw 23/10, Tottenham 9/4
