Chelsea Handling of Christian Pulisic Draws Praise from Brian McBride

The last time we had an exclusive with Brian McBride, he was working primarily as a television pundit, and the interview was conducted ahead of the 2019 Gold Cup Final in Chicago.

We discussed various topics, including the USMNT, Christian Pulisic, Chelsea and the Chicago Fire. The fifth all-time leading scorer in USA Soccer history and Arlington Heights, Illinois native said then that he saw opportunities for Christian Pulisic at Stamford Bridge that probably would not have materialized, had he stayed at Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea FC Transfer Talk: Joshua King, Jesus Corona

Chelsea FC resumed training last week, albeit only in small groups. The next hurdle to be cleared, when it comes to Project Restart, is full contact training, and that could commence this week. It is thought that we’ll have the season back again on June 19, although there’s still some hope for a return on June 12.

With the exception of Belarus, South Korea and Germany, global football is currently on pause. The Premier League has been given the all clear by the government to restart sometime in June, with matches being played behind closed doors. Chelsea began training, albeit in small groups, this week.

Jose Mourinho Refutes Claims He Wanted Project Restart Delayed

Regardless of what you think of Jose Mourinho, your feelings about him are probably strong, and that’s why he is indeed the straw that stirs the drink. With lots of debate about Project Restart, and the specifics contained within, controversy was inevitable.

Typically, where there’s controversy, you’ll find Mourinho, a man who has been a lightning rod his whole career. Sure enough, Mourinho is making headlines today, for his slamming of reports on his Project Restart stance. The managers meeting was held yesterday, and a narrative emerged that the Portugese wants the restart to be further delayed.
