When it comes to the transfer market, Maurizio Sarri might be the perfect fit for what Chelsea wants to do. While admitting that he wishes to keep and even improve Eden Hazard, the Italian claims he’s “bored” by the transfer market, and “not that interested” in influencing transfer policy.

It’s a 180 degree turn from his predecessor, another Italian, Antonio Conte- who often publicly criticized Chelsea transfer policies and practices. Conte’s clashing with the Stamford Bridge board on player purchases and sales partially led to his demise as Chelsea manager.

Sarri will bring an attacking style of football to Stamford Bridge as his three Napoli sides led Serie A in scoring. He was named Serie A coach of the year in 2016-17. However, he does not bring a proven track record to west London as he is yet to win a trophy.

Eden Hazard was arguably the best player of this World Cup tournament, and it appears the Chelsea and Belgium star is now poised to move to the world’s best team. You can say that Hazard was robbed of the Golden Ball Award, which went to Croatia’s Luke Modric.

Chelsea FC Announce Jorginho Addition, Man City Reportedly Fuming

Italian international and Brazilian born Jorginho has officially joined manager Maurizio Sarri in moving from Napoli to Chelsea.

Both the midfielder and the manager were unveiled Saturday by the club, and the Jorginho deal reportedly has Manchester City fuming. Jorginho signed a five-year contract with Chelsea worth about €60 million where he will wear the no.5 shirt.

City are reportedly furious about this deal, to the point that they will not do business with Napoli again.

Maurizio Sarri Announced as New Chelsea FC Manager

It’s been a very long time coming, but for Chelsea FC fans it may be well worth the wait. Maurizio Sarri was finally unveiled today as the new Chelsea manager. Stamford Bridge had targeted him as the man to replace the long embattled Antonio Conte (who was sacked on Wednesday, but announced as being dismissed only yesterday) for months, but the transition was held up by the contract release clauses for both Conte and Sarri.

It had certainly gotten tedious, but the playing style we saw under Sarri at Napoli was anything but. You can likely expect a lot of fun, exciting attacking football in west London under Maurizio Sarri this upcoming season.

Manager Antonio Conte Finally Sacked by Chelsea FC

It was certainly a long time coming, but a parting of ways is probably best for both parties. Thursday saw widespread reports that Chelsea FC have finally sacked their manager Antonio Conte. It’s universally understood that former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri will be his replacement.

Conte led the Blues to the Premier League title in 2016-17, his first year on the job. He also won another piece of silverware for the club’s trophy cabinet during his final game in charge, a FA Cup triumph over Manchester United.
