This summer transfer window, as a whole, has certainly been much more dull than usual. Therefore, the rumors and narratives which are in action are tenidng to get blown up even more than they normally would. Erling Haaland to Chelsea is one such transfer saga, but as it stands right now, it’s DOA.

He’s almost certainly not leaving Borussia Dortmund, so we all need to move on from that, and it appears Chelsea are doing just that, as they have now reportedly turned their attention towards Bayern Munich hit man Robert Lewandowski.

Chelsea staged a behind-closed-doors friendly at their Cobham training facility on Saturday, absolutely pummeling Championship side Peterborough 6-1. Christian Pulisic was among the goal scorers today, and before we get to that, as well as the other major contributors in the victory, it’s time for an update on an off-the-pitch situation surrounding the American.

Back on Fourth of July weekend, Pulisic posted a video on his Instagram that landed him in ocean water literally, and in hot water figuratively.

When Chelsea picked up the option on striker Olivier Giroud in April it was certainly some clever transfer business to say the least. While he was extended, the intention was never to keep the Frenchman at Stamford Bridge next season, or longer, but to make sure the club received compensation for latter shipping off the centre forward.

His new destination is official, AC Milan, and both clubs confirmed the deal a couple hours ago. According to reports, the deal is worth €2m, with €1m up front, and another €1m in add-ons.

Lots of going on regarding Erling Haaland to Chelsea, but at this time it’s still more smoke than fire. Something could really happen, and soon, but at the same time, this potential deal could still fall apart. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly already sanctioned the 150 million GBP that would be required to prise the Norwegian scoring sensation away from Borussia Dortmund.

Hard to imagine BVB turning that down, an amount that’s more than double his release clause, but Dortmund maintain that they just don’t want to sell.

Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to, once again, play Monopoly with real cash. Thanks to the very deep pockets of their owner, Chelsea won, hands down, last summer’s transfer window, and the end result eventually yielded a European Cup title.

Now they’re back for more, according to Christian Falk of BILD, as they’ve made an approach for Juventus winger and Euro 2020 star Federico Chiesa. The report states that Chelsea offered €100 million, but the Italians said no.

Say whatever you want about Chelsea Owner Roman Abramovich, and a whole lot has indeed been said over the years, but you simply cannot say that he doesn’t love his football club. The Russian oligarch and Vladimir Putin’s favorite son has poured loads and loads of money into the southwest London outfit, over and over again, in the hopes of making them the best they can possibly be.

Abramovich is reportedly ready to make it rain again, having now sanctioned the €175.3m (£150m, $207m) in funding it would supposedly take to sign striker supreme Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

As one would expect, Italy dominated the Euro 2020 Best XI squad, which was just announced a couple hours ago. Chelsea star Jorginho, the engine that made the Azzurri truly go, was one of five Italians in the best team. England landed three, which meant only three more slots for teams that didn’t reach the final.

Spain, Denmark and Belgium were the other three nations to gain representation on the first team. Welcome to the summer silly season! Chelsea FC were essentially “champions” of this competition, last time out, as they outspent the rest of the world, by a considerable margin, in the last summer transfer window.

Owner Roman Abramovich greenlighted a sum of about £220 million last summer, as the club made five new signings, and added two more on a free. We are still waiting for another summer spending spree to get started in 2021, so let’s hope that finally gets going now. Here is the latest Blues transfer news.

Borussia Dortmund have already sold Jadon Sancho this summer (to Manchester United for €85m (£73.1m, $100.7m), and they could part ways with Erling Haaland as well. According to a report originating in 90 Min, Chelsea have set the maxium price that they’re willing to pay, and Stamford Bridge is confident that Dortmund will accept the offer.

That sum? €175.3m (£150m, $207m), and that would easily surpass Paul Pogba going back to Manchester United in 2016 as the most expensive player ever signed by an English club. It would also be good for the third most expensive transfer ever, placing the Norwegian wonderkid above Philippe Coutinho and everybody else, save Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Fourth of July is considered the United States of America’s birthday, and for Americans it’s one long holiday. Here in the USA, a lot of people are still partying, as we speak, but Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is one American who’s having a drama filled holiday weekend.

He posted a strange video on his Instagram account which showed him sitting on the edge of a boat, playing keepy ups over a large fish which was caught and being held at the surface of the water. Pulisic then loses his balance and falls into the sea, landing on the fish, which was a Goliath Grouper, a species that is classified as vulnerable.
