Michael Carrick, at a news conference today, confirmed that he’ll still be in charge when Manchester United visit Chelsea FC on Sunday. Beyond this weekend, it appears that Ralf Rangnick will replace Carrick, to serve as the interim manager until the end of the season

The 63-year-old will depart from his role as head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow, but apparently this deal is still not signed, sealed and delivered, as of press time.

Christian Pulisic Draws Starting Assignment, Praise from Thomas Tuchel

We specifically predicted that American Christian Pulisic would get a starting nod tonight against Juventus, and indeed he did (You can see the entire starting XI in tweet below).

Currently at halftime, Chelsea lead Juve 1-0 in their UEFA Champions League group stage match. That’s thanks to a Trevor Chalobah goal, and if this result holds, the Blues are through to the knockout round. Before the game kicked off, Chelsea had already cemented a place in at least the Europa League knockout round.

Minutes of Chelsea Star Christian Pulisic Still Being Managed

For the second match of this international period, Chelsea star Christian Pulisic only came off the bench for the USMNT. Pulisic was subbed on for Timothy Weah, the USA’s lone goal scorer, in the 66′ of the side’s 1-1 draw with Jamaica.

Heading into this break, Blues boss Thomas Tuchel basically said that he didn’t want the Stars and Stripes to overcook the 22-year-old, and that’s exactly what has transpired. USA Coach Gregg Berhalter said that Pulisic still isn’t ready to go the full 90 minutes yet.

Christian Pulisic Taunts Mexico With Undershirt Message

Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic did more than just score the game winning goal and claim the man of the match award last night. The Hershey, Pennsylvania native also accomplished a major clapback (that’s what the kids are calling this sort of thing these days) against the United States Men’s National Team’s biggest rivals.

In the run-up to Friday’s World Cup qualifier, Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa said to TUDN “Mexico is the mirror in which the [U.S.] wants to see itself and wants to copy.” U.S. coach Gregg Berhalter responded by saying “it shows that we have a long way to go to get the respect of Mexico.”

Christian Pulisic Returns to Intl Play, Scores Game-Winner

Now that’s how you make a return to international competition! Christian Pulisic, Chelsea forward and Captain America, came on for a cameo tonight, in a World Cup qualifier against arch-rivals Mexico, and delivered the goods, coming off the bench to score the game winner in the 74′ in Cincinnati.

Pulisic came on for Brendan Aaronson in the 69′ and made an instant impact, helping the United States to their third victory, over their most heated foe, for the third time in 2021.
