Chelsea FC vs Wolverhampton Injury, Unavailable Report: Barkley, Neves, Jonny

Chelsea FC travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers for a midweek clash that sees the Blues likely catching Wolves at just the right time. Wolves are winless in their last six league games, having not achieved a victory since October 6 versus Crystal Palace.

That’s pretty astonishing when you consider Wolves also played Manchester City, a side that’s dropped just four points from a possible 42, to a draw in week three. The dreadful stretch of play has dropped Wolves, who looked like an early Europa League qualification candidate, down to 12th.

Chelsea vs Fulham Injury Report: Hazard, Ampadu, Moses, Anguissa, McDonald

eden hazard chelsea

Claudio Ranieri has a very tough assignment in his first away match in charge of Fulham, as he’ll face Chelsea, the team he managed 14 years ago. Of course, Ranieri knew the job of salvaging Fulham, the league’s absolute bottom side right now, would be a major challenge when he took the gig.

The Italian will face a Blues side that lost its first match of the season, in any competition, only just last weekend at Tottenham Hotspur. The hosts come into this clash with a nearly perfect level of fitness too. Star man Eden Hazard will face a late fitness test due to the twisted ankle he suffered in last weekend’s defeat, but it’s largely thought that he’ll be ready to go on Sunday.

Chelsea FC Starting XI Prediction vs PAOK Salonika (Europa League)

chelsea fc

Chelsea FC head into their penultimate UEFA Europa League group stage match having already booked their passage to the knockout round. With just one more point, either tomorrow night at home versus PAOK Salonika or in the finale, they’ll top the group. The visiting side comes in needing points in Europe, but very dominant domestically.

They have taken 29/33 points possible in the Greek top flight, with a +15 goal differential. That said, we should still expect to see most of the Chelsea first teamers rested in this one. For Maurizio Sarri, this match is squad rotation time, especially as the festive period, and the fixture congestion that accompanies it, looming soon.

Maurizio Sarri Labels His Defense a Disaster as Chelsea Suffer First Loss

maurizio sarri

It was a very good run while it lasted. The Blues suffered their first loss of the Maurizio Sarri era, in any competition, (unless you count the preseason Community Shield) 3-1 to Tottenham Hotspur today. It was the most anticipated match of the weekend, but the day completely belonged to Spurs.

The blowout victory for Tottenham at Wembley Stadium on Saturday resulted in their leap-frogging Chelsea in the standings. It also gave more credence to the theory put forth by Sarri heading into this contest- that a major gap exists between his side and league leaders Manchester City.

Maurizio Sarri Says Transfer Window Won’t Close Gap on Manchester City

maurizio sarri

Chelsea are currently only four points behind Manchester City for the top of the Premier League table, but Blues boss Maurizio Sarri seems to perceive a much bigger chasm than that. There had been gossip of Stamford Bridge splashing the cash this January transfer window, ahead of concerns they could get hit with Financial Fair Play violations, and thus a transfer ban down the line.

However, the comments Sarri made about the transfer market at his weekly news conference seem to throw a lot of cold water on that concept. Chelsea will take on Tottenham Hotspur on later today in the weekend’s biggest Premier League clash. City, looking like world beaters as usual, took a 3-0 lead into halftime over West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Chelsea Supporters Mock Thibaut Courtois Online After Latest Real Madrid Flop

thibaut courtois

Real Madrid have just suffered their fifth defeat in 13 La Liga games this season, and it came at the hands of the smallest club in all of Spain- Elbar. It marks the first time ever that Elbar has defeated Real, and it was achieved in thoroughly convincing fashion, 3-0. While you always win or lose as a team, the biggest scapegoat on social media right now for this disaster is Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian conceded eight goals for club and country this week, and 19 in total for Madrid this season. His bitter hold out at the start of training camp, in order to force a move out of Chelsea, certainly won him no new fans.

Today brought some huge Chelsea news ahead of the blockbuster clash in the Premier League weekend tomorrow. The Blues will head to Wembley Stadium to face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in what is the weekend’s headliner fixture.

Kante signed a new five year deal worth £290,000-a-week until 2023. He is now the team’s best paid player.
