Jose Mourinho Says Spurs Have a Clean Bill of Health

When last we left football, in mid-March, Tottenham Hotspur were suffering through some struggles, largely due to a rash of major injuries. Now, with the extended time off, Tottenham have a healthy squad again, according to their manager Jose Mourinho.

It doesn’t mean that everybody is totally match fit right now, as there is a massive difference between being match fit and having recovered from injury. Still this is an exciting development, for any Spurs supporter, from training camp.

Which Team Can Break Through In The Premier League?  

Liverpool will win the Premier League this season. That’s a statistical and practical inevitability. We don’t know when that might happen, but given the size of the lead they have and the number of games remaining, there’s no way anybody else can stop them. When they do, it will be the first time that the Anfield side has walked away with English football’s top prize in thirty years. So long as they don’t lose too many of their stars players and they hang on to manager Jurgen Klopp, it might be the first of many.

Jose Mourinho Refutes Claims He Wanted Project Restart Delayed

Regardless of what you think of Jose Mourinho, your feelings about him are probably strong, and that’s why he is indeed the straw that stirs the drink. With lots of debate about Project Restart, and the specifics contained within, controversy was inevitable.

Typically, where there’s controversy, you’ll find Mourinho, a man who has been a lightning rod his whole career. Sure enough, Mourinho is making headlines today, for his slamming of reports on his Project Restart stance. The managers meeting was held yesterday, and a narrative emerged that the Portugese wants the restart to be further delayed.

With the exception of Belarus, South Korea and starting this Saturday, Germany, global football is currently suspended. The Premier League has been given the all clear by the government to restart after  June 1, behind closed doors, and with that in mind, teams are now looking at returning to group training next week.

Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Talk: Ryan Fraser, Joe Hugill

Tottenham Hotspur, along with the rest of most global football, are off indefinitely, but there are still plenty of transfer rumors related to the club, circulating on the internet today. There is a plan for the Premier League to potentially return to action on June 13, and play matches behind closed doors in neutral venues.

The first phases of so-called “Project Restart” are underway, but there are of course, lots of obstacles to be overcome, and a whole lot could change between now at the time targeted for starting up again. The next meeting, on May 8, will be extremely critical, and we’ll know more then.
