Spurs made the trip to Turf Moor looking to build on their midweek Europa League success. But the win didn’t come easily, as the hosts made life difficult for the North Londoners. In the end however, a solitary goal from Heung-min Son was enough to settle the game and bring back the three points to London.

Tottenham made a perfect start to their Europa League group stage campaign with a win over LASK. Speaking after the game, Jose Mourinho told BT Sport about the high impact new signing Carlos Vinicius had on the game.

Jose Mourinho Says Spurs Weren’t Mentally Strong Enough Today

Speaking after Tottenham’s draw at home to West Ham United, Jose Mourinho told Sky Sports (via Goal) that his team were psychologically weak.

Spurs got off to a great start when Heung-min Son gave them an early lead and things became even better after Harry Kane scored a brace. They went into halftime on a dominant note leading 3-0, but the North Londoners were unable to hold on to their lead and the match ultimately ended 3-3.

Tottenham Hotspur Add Swansea City Defender Joe Rodon

Tottenham Hotspur closed a last minute deal on domestic deadline day, signing Swansea City defender Joe Rodon in an 11th hour transfer move. Still seeking help in central defense, but having had their top targets not work out for various reasons, the north London club added a centre back from the Welsh club on Friday.

Both sides officially announced the deal, which will keep Rodon at the club until 2025; at least on paper.

Gareth Bale Returns to Spurs Training, Could Feature vs West Ham

In the words of Eminem, “guess who’s back, back again.” Gareth Bale has returned to Tottenham Hotspur, the place where he propelled himself to superstardom, and in the process became the most expensive player ever, from 2013-2016. He’s now on loan from Real Madrid for the remainder of the 2020-21 Premier League season, but a knee injury has kept him from featuring for Spurs thus far this season.

However, he has now recovered and he’s back in training with the first team. Will he feature against West Ham United on Sunday? It looks very likely, but we’ll probably have to wait until at least Friday to find out.
