Manchester United Midfielder Michael Carrick has suffered yet another injury while on international duty with England. Once again, it’s supposed to heal quickly. Carrick hurt his ankle this time, and while no definite time table has been set for his return, it’s thought that he won’t be gone more than a couple weeks.
it is understood that initial examination at the club’s Carrington training base proved positive, with the player told that he will not face a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
The former Tottenham midfielder will not figure in this weekend’s Premier League trip to Watford and is also expected to miss the Champions League group game against PSV Eindhoven at Old Trafford next Wednesday
With the summer signings of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, United have vital players to fill in for Michael Carrick. He will certainly be missed though.
England and United captain Wayne Rooney said after an April draw with Italy that Carrick was the ‘best player on the pitch by a mile’, and that he ‘dictated the game.’
