Chelsea outcast Filipe Luis said back on June 12th that his future is up to Jose Mourinho, stating: “I have a contract with Chelsea and I belong to the club, so it’s up to them.”
Over the weekend it was reported that Luis, along with Mohammed Salah and even Juan Cuadrado, would all be free to leave Stamford Bridge as it doesn’t appear that any of them will be guaranteed first team football with the Blues. Now today multiple sources are confirming that Filipe Luis will be the first of the triad to go.

Here’s more details on the move via the Daily Mail, who indicate the next transfer domino to fall from this situation will be Defender Baba Rahman coming to West London.
“Chelsea’s move for £15 million-rated Augsburg left back Baba Rahman can now go ahead after the Premier League champions agreed that Filipe Luis can return to Atletico Madrid.”
“Luis, 29, has failed to make an impression since arriving for £15m last summer from the former Spanish champions and is eager to return back to the Vicente Calderon.Chelsea wanted to get back the full fee they paid for him last summer but the two clubs have now agreed a deal, with sources at Atletico claiming it is for £11 million.”
Mourinho has made up his mind; Filipe Luis is out.
