Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is the best young goal scorer in England right now. Although he certainly got off to a slow start this season, he’s warmed up to the point that both he and his team are absolutely on fire right now. They have only lost one match in their last eight nine (as they’ll soon finish off West Ham United) across all competitions.
Spurs have lost just one Premier League fixture this season, and that was way back on opening day versus Manchester United. Spurs currently lead the Hammers 3-0 at White Hart Lane heading in the 70′.
Yes, there have been mostly draws in those results, but they keep acquiring points, and now find themselves legitimate top four/UEFA Champions League contenders. It’s definitely not a stretch to call them title contenders either. Harry Kane is a huge reason why, he has two of Spurs three goals today.
Here’s footage of the first:

Although he had a “man of the match” kind of day, Harry Kane wasn’t perfect. This was the opportune chance for a hat trick on this breakaway, but he botched it. Take a look:

Because of his headliner performance, Harry Kane is a top ten trending term in the United States on Twitter right now. He’s now scored in five straight appearances, and his hot streak has triggered a host of interesting Tweets, memes and graphics, especially this one from Bleacher Report UK:
