The Angel Di Maria to Manchester United deal is nearing closer to completion. Real Madrid Manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Di Maria’s departure today.
“Di Maria said his goodbyes to players and staff this morning,” Ancelotti said.
“Di Maria didn’t train train, he came just to say goodbye,” Carlo Ancelotti told reporters. “It is not official [Di maria’s move to Manchester United], but everything is solved.
“We thanked him for what he has given the club and we wished him good luck.”
“Personally, I have had very good relationship with Di Maria. He has done a fantastic job at Real Madrid. We are able to replace him very well.”
“It was his decision, because the club did everything possible, offering everything they could to have him here. He decided otherwise, so good luck to him,” Carlo Ancelotti concluded.
Discussions are to continue tomorrow, with an official announcement expected this week. It could set a British transfer record fee, which might reach 75 million Euros.
