Jurgen Klopp is very well known for his extremely emotional style. He is intensity and has no shyness about expressing his intensity. When that competitiveness yields a win, it creates a lot of joy for the Liverpool Manager, and today sees the German admittedly “very happy.”
Liverpool have not won at a club managed by Tony Pulis in 12 matches, so today’s 1-0 win at West Bromwich Albion was no doubt a major triumph.
The men of Jurgen Klopp won a very gritty game, as their extremely injury depleted side did the best they could to grind out a result.
Jurgen Klopp said in his post match news conference:
“In the first half, we didn’t play too good (in terms of) football. In the second half we did much better, but we kept the ball in the first half and didn’t let them be really part of the game.
“In the second half, we did this much better. For us, it was very important because showing this concentration level until the end didn’t work each week in the last few months, but today it was really good and I am happy about this. I am really happy about the performance.”
The Reds now move into third place, two points ahead of Manchester City, although the Citizens have a game in hand on Liverpool. Fifth place Manchester United trail LFC by six points, although they have two games in hand on the Reds.
