Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal gave his weekly press conference a few hours ago, and the session was more interesting than usual. In the short clip below, the Dutchman said that he used the word “horny” with his players.
The look on Juan Mata’s face is priceless.

“A lot of times I use the word ‘horny’ to my players,” Van Gaal said in the full quote.
“They showed fight against Shrewsbury but every game is different and every game players and managers want to fight for the victory. But we are human beings also. You are not always in the same shape and form.”
We can’t help but think of this photo, when we hear LVG use the word “horny” publicly. It’s Van Gaal ogling controversial media personality Julie Stewart-Binks while she interviewed him. Stewart-Binks is infamous for her extremely unprofessional behavior, as she let New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski give her a lap dance during a Super Bowl preview show.
And it wouldn’t be a Van Gaal press conference without awkward questioning regarding his future with the club.
“I think maybe criticism of me can be an influence because there is a lot, but they have to use their tools to ignore it because that’s very important. Not only the criticism of their manager, but also of themselves.”
“I have a relationship with the players of Manchester United. That is the most important thing. Not everything the media are writing is true.”
So there you have it, LVG insists he’s not going anywhere, in response to all the speculation about who his replacement could be. It goes without saying that the Van Gaal staying/sacking story line is beyond played out and we could all use some comic relief from it.
Van Gaal did a good job providing that today. So here’s a song for him below:
