Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said that the club needs to sign a player similar to Barcelona forward Pedro back in late July. And then last week Van Gaal directly answered a Pedro question. He didn’t confirm or deny the interest/whether or not a deal was in the works. You can read the full quote at this link.
Yet all this Pedro talk was not an indication of a deal being done between Old Trafford and the player. Van Gaal addressed the media today, ahead of United’s clash with Newcastle on Saturday.
Take a look at what he said below.
Van Gaal basically shot down the idea that Chelsea also “hijacked” United’s bid for the player. He also made some interesting points about how some members of the media like to put Executive Vice President Ed Woodward and himself disengaged with each other or sometimes at odds.
Fascinating stuff. Maybe Pedro will make public remarks in response to this? Or maybe not?
