We’re about one-third of the way through the January transfer window, and so far, Tottenham Hotspur is the Premier League club that is making all the noise. They are currently finalizing a €30m (£25.8m) deal for Genoa defender Ragu Dragusin, according to multiple outlets.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly stayed up until 3 a.m. to work with the Dragusin camp and get this deal over the line.

??? Radu Dragusin to Tottenham, here we go! Agreement reached on package in excess of €30m after new bid overnight.

Spence joins Genoa on loan.

Spurs had to beat Bayern Munich in order to sign Dragusin, which is quite impressive on their part.

Now with the midnight oil having been burnt, all that remains for this to be finalized is a medical, some paperwork, and of course the official announcement.

Speaking of official announcements, yesterday brought that forth, in regards to the Timo Werner loan deal. The German striker will spend the rest of the season on loan from RB Leipzig. ICYMI, the details are here.

Getting back to Dragusin, Spurs are also sending a player the other way, as part of their coup to sign the 21-year-old Romanian international. Spurs recalled Djed Spence from his loan at Leeds, and he’ll now spend the rest of this season on loan at Genoa.

According to The Guardian, the Italian club have an option to buy him, at the end of this season, for about €10 million.

Kudos to Spurs for making moves and getting things done.

Only one point outside the top four and just six points from the top spot, Spurs still have all their season goals within reach. Not to mention that a lot of their key players will soon be returning from injury.
