Here’s a fun, light-hearted change of pace story circulating in the Manchester United Twitterverse, blogosphere, cyberspace and media world right now. Rapper, pop star, grime artist and global blockbuster musician Stormzy stopped by Manchester United training to meet his heroes, and he was reportedly very starstruck.
Stormzy is a megastar right now, and huge crowds turned up for his megastore appearance at Old Trafford, but he was nevertheless in awe of meeting the Red Devils players, as he’s a self-described super fan.

Stormzy told Press Association Sport regarding the meeting: “I was trying to play it so cool.”
“I am just saying ‘what’s going on lads?’ I didn’t want to disturb their peace because I know they’re going to train so didn’t want to hit them with loads of questions.”
“It was mad. I met the whole first team — speaking to Wayne I was like, ‘Oh my days!”‘
Indeed this was game recognizes game, but Stormzy played the background on this occasion. His appearance coincided with the announcement of Michael Carrick’s testimonial.
“He is a top man. He invited me down, he knows I’ve got the album out, so he wanted to show his support. I am grateful for that. I am very thankful for that because he didn’t have to do that,” Stormzy said of Carrick.
“That is his time. He was announcing his testimonial, so, yeah, he didn’t have to share this time with me.”
