Manchester United stay home for the weekend Premier League fixture as they will try to right the ship against Everton on Sunday. Coming off a very listless and extremely dull showing at home against Juventus in midweek, the Red Devils are looking for a very positive result, one that could make everybody forget about the dreck they presented on Tuesday night.
Let’s take a look at who is out and who is doubtful for both sides in this clash.
Let’s start with the hosts, who will likely be without the services of defender Marcos Rojo. They also have several injury doubts as the following players have all missed time due to injury:
forward Jesse Lingard, midfielder Marouane Fellaini, defender Diogo Dalot, forward Alexis Sanchez, midfielder Scott McTominay, defender Antonio Valencia and defender Phil Jones.
On Friday, Jose Mourinho will hold his weekly press conference and perhaps he will provide updates on the status of those players. For the visitors, long-term absentee James McCarthy is out, as is central midfielder Beni Banangime.
Team Captain Phil Jagielka is a doubt, as he hasn’t featured since opening day, due to both a suspension and an injury. In the all time series, United have won 87 times, drawn 44 and lost 66 against the Toffees.
