It promises to continue being a very exciting summer transfer window at Manchester United, with plenty of comings and goings. Who will be the next to join Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant as new arrivals this summer?

Who will be heading out the Old Trafford door? Let’s take a spin through the latest transfer rumors and gossip making the rounds on the internet today. As always, until it’s actually an officially done deal, take he rumors with a grain of salt.

-Croatian sensation Ivan Perisic was a well known Manchester United target last summer, and many regarded him to be the elusive fourth signing that Jose Mourinho was looking for.

The club has been looking for an upgrade at winger for quite some time, but they weren’t able to come to an agreement with Inter Milan on the transfer fee in 2017.

Perisic has spoken up about being linked with a move to the Red Devils, but in his mind that’s now just a thing of the past.

“So far I have thought of Croatia. Now I will rest, I will return to focus on Inter,” said the 29-year-old who signed a five year contract extension with the Serie A club last summer. The Manchester Evening News has more at this link.

–Daley Blind‘s return to Ajax has now been confirmed by United.

Sky Sports reports that the two sides agreed on an initial fee of £14.1 million which could rise to £18.5 million with performance-based add-ons. That’s good for a Dutch Eredivisie transfer fee record. Best of luck to Blind, who achieved a substantial amount of glory at United.

-Finally, we can extinguish the Gareth Bale talk for this summer transfer window. Not that it was ever really all that realistic to begin with, but we can put it to bed for this year. (See ya again with this one next summer!)

According to The Guardian, Bale is set to be handed the opportunity of replacing Cristiano Ronaldo as the face of the Real Madrid franchise when he meets with “Julen Lopetegui, for talks in the next two weeks. The move will disappoint José Mourinho as Bale is a long-term target of the Manchester United manager.”
