Will Eden Hazard move to Real Madrid this summer? It’s a question that has come up on multiple occasions (okay that’s an understatement), and every single time the Chelsea star is asked about it, he gives the same answer, more or less.
Naturally, in the press conference ahead of the international friendly between his Belgium side and Saudi Arabia, the 27-year-old was again questioned about his future with Chelsea. The stellar attacking player responded with the following.
“Look, I’m going to finish the season first, then play the World Cup and then I’ll leave on holiday,” Hazard said.

“We’ll see what happens next. I haven’t thought about it yet; I have another two years’ contract with Chelsea. I am very happy. I just think about the end of the season and the World Cup.”
Talks on a possible contract extension that would keep him at Stamford Bridge long term (beyond the two years remaining on his current deal) have stalled.
Belgium are generally considered among the top five or so contenders to claim the World Cup this summer in Russia, so expectations are extremely high. They were knocked out by Argentina in the quarterfinal in 2014. Eden Hazard outlined what the ambitions are for his national team side in June.
“Four years ago it was the first World Cup for most of the players,” he added.
“Now we have experience. We know what to do to be ready. We have one target, which is to reach the final.”
