Manchester United have tied Arsenal for the most FA Cup wins in history (12). They did so in extremely dramatic fashion too, falling 1 down late in regulation, then falling a man down, having to play a man short for the final 15 minutes due to Chris Smalling’s second yellow card.
Here are some of the highlights from the match today that are widely circulating in the MUFC Twitterverse, blogosphere, cyberspace and media world.
-Here’s video of the late equalizer by Juan Mata, the turning point of the match. United have won their first piece of silverware since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and their first FA Cup since 2004.

It’s almost certainly the last game for Manager Louis van Gaal, with word that Jose Mourinho is set to replace him. That word could officially be coming soon too (here’s more on that).
–Juan Mata mocking the celebratory jig of Crystal Palace Manager Alan Pardew. Mata is not impressed by Pardew’s dancing style, and the Palace Manager won’t be living this down, any time soon.

-Pardew was widely ripped on social media for doing a premature celebration dance when the Eagles went up 1-0. He should he ripped too, as his loss served as poetic justice for his premature gloating.
Alan Pardew dancing like a smug idiot at 1-0 to Crystal Palace in an FA Cup final which he goes on to lose ??

-Here’s the Jesse Lingard goal in extra time, or “Fergie Time” which would prove to be the 110′ game winner!

-Goalkeeper David de Gea with yet another huge performance today; making a couple of unreal saves. Like this one, check it out. No doubt he’s earned the club’s player of the year award for the third season in a row. He comes up huge every week.

Finally, it wouldn’t be a huge sporting event without an announcer saying something inexplicable and stupid.
