Manchester United won resoundingly 3-0 at Everton today, causing Twitter to explode with Red Devils related search terms. Among the top ten trending terms in the United States this morning: “MUFC,” “Martial,” “Manchester United” and “Rooney.”

Even though Anthony Martial didn’t score today, he was still breaking the internet due to his amazing ball control skills and footwork. The reigning Premier League Player of the Month (here’s more on that) dazzled football fans world wide who took to social media to post videos of his work.

Watch him get past two defenders at the same time with sublime maneuvering in the Vine below:

Anthony Martial has drawn a lot of comparisons to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, and in sequences like these it’s easy to understand why. (Although Martial himself plays down those comparisons)

At the link below you can see more Martial individual highlights from the match, including a transcendent moment in which he broke down Everton Defender Seamus Coleman, one of the better back line players in the league and a long time supposed Manchester United target.

Martial was supposedly targeted by many clubs this summer. Arsenal was interested, but Arsene Wenger believed that Monaco wouldn’t sell. There’s even a been a French report that Martial was offered more money from Chelsea than he received from United, but obviously the young Frenchman turned down the Blues.

Anthony Martial’s career at Old Trafford has gotten off to a dream start, and we have evert reason to believe there’s going to be many more highlight reel moments like this to come.
