West Ham travels to Merseyside to take on fellow Premier League strugglers Everton. The Hammers are not the high flying, giant killers of seasons past. West Ham find themselves in the relegation zone after six league fixtures. It’s not the end of the world, but they need to turn it around soon if they are to avoid being caught in a relegation scrap this season.
Historically it is hard to get a read on who has the upper hand between these two teams. On one hand, Everton have recorded more victories and scored more goals against the east london club than any other.
More recent history favors The Irons. They have won three of their last four fixtures against The Toffees. David Moyes will hope he can get the Hammers season back on track against the side where he built his reputation.

Team News
The Hammer have a Europa Conference League fixture prior to this fixture at the time of writing. This is the latest injury news as of the morning of the 15th of September direct from David Moyes.
Nayef Aguerd
‘[Nayef] returned on Tuesday. He has been away. He is now out of his boot [and] seeing the specialist today to get the six-week go-ahead for the next part [of his recovery]. Hopefully, that is all good.’
Ben Johnson
‘Ben is not training yet; he is still out. Aaron Cresswell is not training yet either, so he is not available.’
Aaron Cresswell
‘Cressy’s only probably had two weeks out really, so we just need to make sure [his] injury is OK, but [he has] done a bit of training.’
Stuey’s Two Cents
It is hard for me to even feign interest in this clash. West Ham have been horrible to watch this season. Everton’s new found defensive stoutness is not conducive to entertaining football. You could probably miss this one and not be too disappointed about it. Although now I have said that, there’s a good chance this will be a cracker. How’s that for unhelpful analysis?
