Tottenham vs Brighton Injury Report: Lloris, Sissoko, Kane, Lamela, Propper

Tottenham Hotspur hosts Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night, in a match-up that has substantial significance at both ends of table. Spurs are holding on to third place in the standings, but they have two teams nipping right at their heels (they did have three, but it looks like Manchester United have apparently shut down operations for the rest of the season).

For Brighton, they currently sit in the final safety position, but with Cardiff City just two points behind, it appears the battle to avoid the final relegation slot could go down to the final day.

Spurs head into the midweek Premier League clash with a very long injury list, and it starts with team captain and No. 1 Hugh Lloris.

“He has suffered a small muscle problem,” Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino told reporters in regards to the Frenchman’s status.

“Hopefully it’s not a big issue and he can be ready for Tuesday. It would be a risk for him to play today (Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Manchester City) and that’s why we decided to leave him in London.”

Additionally, Spurs have a quartet of likely injury absentees: Moussa Sissoko (strained groin), Erik Lamela (hamstring problem), Serge Aurier (also, a hamstring issue) and of course, Harry Kane (ruled out until June, due to his ankle injury).

As for the visitors, they will likely be without Davy Propper, as the midfielder limped off early on against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Elsewhere, Anthony Knockaert is out due to suspension, as he’ll finish serving his three-match ban for his pointless sending off against Bournemouth.
