Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Believes Marcus Rashford Can Reach Harry Kane Levels

Due to his prolific prowess as a goal scorer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was known as the “baby-faced assassin” during his playing days with Manchester United. Now 45 and leading the team as a caretaker manager, quasi “on loan” from Molde, Solskjaer is working on trying to get United back to their winning ways, and doing so with panache and style.

Striker Romelu Lukaku has already given the Norwegian credit for helping improve his form. Solskjaer also believes that he can get winger Alexis Sanchez back to the level of scoring production that he enjoyed previously at various stops during his career.

Additionally, ahead of tomorrow’s crunch class at Tottenham Hotspur, Solskjaer said he believes that United forward Marcus Rashford can someday reach the levels of Tottenham talisman Harry Kane.

“He can become a top, top striker,” said Solskjaer.

“We can talk about Harry Kane and his class, and I’m sure Marcus as well. He’s got the potential to get up there.”

“He’s got frightening pace, he’s now become stronger and can hold the ball up for us. He’s a great link player. He’s a very exciting player to work with.”

Obviously, it’s very heady praise there and it goes without saying that Harry Kane is a massive standard to aspire to. One of the greatest players in the world, Kane has numerous Golden Boot awards, PFA honors and other outstanding accolades to his credit.
