Manchester United Manager Louis van Gaal gave his weekly press conference this morning previewing the weekend fixture. However, there wasn’t a whole lot of talk about the game nor the opponent Norwich City. The first topic, right off the bat, was Chelsea’s sacking of Jose Mourinho.
“That was a big surprise for me. A fantastic manager with a record that nobody has in this football world but it is still possible (to be sacked),” Van Gaal said.
Then a reporter postulated this idea: “he won the title six months ago, so, is it possible that no one is safe?”
“Yes, but we know that in advance, and Jose knew that.”
“What I have to day on this I cannot answer. I have the full confidence of my board and my players, but we have to win, we know that, there is not any doubt. “Because when you lose too much, it is the end of the world for me too,” the Dutchman said.
Van Gaal was also asked about all the supporter unrest that currently exists for his club. Hear his answer, as well as the full answers to the other big picture questions here in the video below. This is the embedded YouTube of the Van Gaal press conference today:
