The Paul Pogba move back to Manchester United has now finally been signed, sealed and delivered. Here is a link to his first photos and interview as a member of United for the second time. #Pogback is now officially underway. Here’s a link to what the United first team might look like with Pogba in it.
Juventus have confirmed the transfer fee of €105 million (£89.3 million, $116.4 million). That surpasses the sale of Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid for a new world record.
We also curated opinions from pundits, and you can view that over at this link.
As United Manager Jose Mourinho said in regards to the very exorbitant price: “football is crazy.” Here’s a link to more on that.
Given that this is a world record breaking deal, everyone has an opinion on it, and we’ve collected those opinions (from football players and coaches) for you below.
Real Madrid had also been keen to sign Pogba, but apparently were not looking to spend this kind of money on him. Here’s what Los Blancos Manager Zinedine Zidane had to say.
Zidane told a news conference that he wished the player good luck. It’s not really much, but he’s an opinion that we had to include in the curation.
“I have no thoughts about it. [Pogba] is a United player, and that’s it. I wish him the best.”
Former Juventus teammate Andrea Pirlo told the Daily Mirror:
“He is, of course, a great player but sometimes, with natural ability, some players think that is enough.”
“That’s not the case with him. You are getting a player with a great attitude.”
“He wants to be the best in the world, he wants to learn off the coaches and the senior players. He is hungry to be the best.”
Here’s Pogba’s official goodbye to Juventus:
Thanks @juventusfc and all Juventini. Goodbye means nothing, it is the time we spent together that matters ???

He also posted a pretty cool new video with his new teammate Jesse Lingard on Instagram.
Lingard is a friend and former youth teammate of Lingard’s, and the two are getting right down to business; hitting the ground running so to speak.
