The Manchester Derby certainly didn’t work out too well for Manchester United or their $115 signing Paul Pogba. When you break the all time transfer fee record, you’re expected to thoroughly dominate, every single time you’re out on the pitch. Pogba obviously didn’t do that on Saturday.
His outing was certainly lackluster and it really inspired the Paul Pogba critics to come out of the woodwork, especially on Twitter.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has responded to the Pogba hecklers, with the standard “hate us cuz they ain’t us” kind of response.
Or maybe you could call it a Taylor Swift style jealous people, the haters are gonna hate type of retort.
Ibrahimovic was quoted by Eurosport: “All the jealous people who talk about him will swallow all of the words they have said about him. He will only improve and will get everyone behind him.”
Zlatan also discussed his relationship with Paul Pogba, and how he’s gotten to know him since he came over from Juventus.
“Now, you have to be realistic: people are putting a lot of pressure on Paul. His transfer created a huge amount of buzz,” Ibra said in a SFR Sport video.
“I didn’t know Paul before and, now that I do, I can tell you he’s someone who works enormously. He really wants to improve and he has a super attitude. But you mustn’t forget he’s young. That’s all I can say.”
