Man United Team News vs Partizan Belgrade: Pogba, Shaw, Matic

Share

Manchester United are definitely performing a lot better in Europe this season than they are domestically. Ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League group stage clash at home against Partizan Belgrade, the Red Devils currently sit atop Group L with 7 points.

In England, things are not going as well as they are in the UEL. United currently sit 10th in the Premier League table, looking every bit the mid table side that the standings show. With that in mind, let’s turn to the team news for this one, starting with Paul Pogba, who is out until pretty much December.

The Frenchman gave an update on his rehabilitative process, and the timeline more or less matches what manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had said initially.

United have a host of additional absentees, so get ready for the following very long list of players who have not been named to a team in awhile.

First choice left back Luke Shaw has not been seen since before the first international break while midfielder Nemanja Matic may not be ready in time. United will also be without the services of defenders Diogo Dalot, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Eric Bailly and also Axel Tuanzebe in the Thursday night clash.

Expect plenty of squad rotation in this one, and a lot of younger kids to feature.

With United facing a much smaller club, at home, you have to pick them to win here, and with it they will pretty much wrap up passage to the knockout round.

  1. If man united when to win epl again they must sack ed woodward and bring another person becouse he is the couse of man united problem

  2. man should sack ole

  3. Ole is the right man. But give some time

  4. sack Ole we have a winning team at Chelsea and yet the hapless Ashley Young is brought back at the expense of Brandon Williams and yet again another crap performance from Martial and Rashford we fail against lesser teams he let 2 forwards go and did not replace them we have a 17 year old as back up it is like Winston Churchill getting rid of the spitfires and Lancaster bombers and fighting Hitler with the home guard

  5. We got rid of Jose and he makes Ole look like a world beater. Ole was to be given the job if we qualified for the champions league well that we did not . after the Paris saint germain win it was downhill after that he is clueless keeps giving playing time to Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard or Mata none of the are good enough we have lost to Crystal Palace and Bournemouth sack him or we will be playing championship football next year

  6. Ole his good mannager but we need a striker good centra striker and midfielder in january
