Man City Team News vs Liverpool: Haaland, Ederson, Kovacic

Erling Haaland suffered a very slight foot injury while on international duty with Norway, forcing him to withdraw from his nation’s match versus Scotland this past weekend. His absence was thought to only be precautionary however, as many are labeling this injury as just a knock.

He should be fine to face Liverpool on Saturday, but he’ll still have to face a late fitness test. Same for Ederson, who also suffered a minor foot injury, but his transpired in the last league match against Chelsea.

Man City Team News

The shot stopper missed out on Brazil duty this time around, coincidentally replaced by the man who will be in the position opposite of him on Saturday, Alisson. Elsewhere Mateo Kovacic, Nathan Ake and Matheus Nunes all missed the international break as well, due to injuries, and the triad will need to pass late fitness tests in order to feature here.

However, it is sounding like only Kovacic will be in real danger of missing out here, but not a whole lot is really known about the unspecified muscle injury that he has right now.

And finally, Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Gomez and John Stones all remain out as long-term injury absentees.
