Some good injury news (Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes) and some bad injury news (Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui) for Manchester United on this Thursday, so let’s dive straight into it. Mainoo withdrew from the England national team camp, for what remains of this elongated international break.
No specific, stated reason was given for his withdrawal, however, and there is no reason to believe, at least at this time that he’s injured.

Kobbie Mainoo
Most likely, Mainoo leaving the England squad, and returning to United, is simply due to managing his minutes. Everyone wants to make sure Mainoo doesn’t overwork himself, and get hurt.
Bruno Fernandes
There was some injury concern surrounding the United skipper, as Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus described him as having a “complicated” pre-existing injury. The situation was severe enough to keep him out of Portugal’s 2-1 win over Norway on Sunday.
However, as you can see from the tweet embedded above, Fernandes returned to action against Denmark, and captained the side to a 4-2 victory.
Patrick Dorgu
Dorgu appeared to have suffered a hamstring injury when he hobbled off, after playing only 30 minutes for Denmark against Wales, this past weekend. Denmark head coach Brian Riemer confirmed that Dorgu was going to leave the Denmark camp, and return to United for treatment:
“He’s got an injury and he’s going home. Now we have to bring one in, that’s clear.”
Noussair Mazraoui
United have confirmed that Mazraoui suffered an injury while playing for Morocco in their 2-0 win over Lesotho in AFCON qualifying. Not much else is really known right now, about his situation, and when we find out, we’ll get you updated.
Additionally…..
…We already covered the other United walking wounded: Marcus Rashford, Benjamin Sesko, Tom Heaton, Karl Darlow, Matthijs de Ligt, Manuel Ugarte and Amad Diallo, already, in this post.
