Before heading into the international break, Newcastle United’s first year manager, Mattias Jaissle, gave updates on the status of several of his injured players. In this post, we’ll cover what Jaissle said on the likes of Dan Burn, William Osula and Valentino Livramento. With so many Newcastle injuries to cover, this extended international window, we had to break it all up into three pieces. In part one, we covered Anthony Elanga, Ewen Jaouen, Jacob Ramsey and Nicolas Gonzalez.

Dan Burn
“My recovery is coming on well,” Dan Burn said on Saturday, in regards to the severe ankle injury that he has been dealing with the past few weeks. “I’m not in the cast anymore, so I’m walking around now and building up strength.
“The international break helps, so I don’t miss too many games, and if all goes to plan, I can be back for that first game after the break.”
With the next match, some Monday night football at Coventry City, still 18 days away, he could be in contention to make the squad.
William Osula
Jaissle gave this non-update kind of update this past Saturday:
“Like with all the other seven injured players, I don’t really want to go into detail now. It’s not the right way here at the press conference. But I hope, and we all hope, that after the break, we will see at least one or the other back.”
That probably applies to Osula and his foot injury. Like most of the Newcastle walking wounded, he could be in contention to play in the next game.
Valentino Livramento
“He suffered some discomfort in the morning after yesterday’s training,” Jaissle said on Saturday, regarding Tino, who suffered a fresh injury during the training session this past Friday. “At the moment, we should already have the results from the MRI, but there is nothing more from my end.”
Livramento suffered an unspecified muscular injury, and we don’t know a whole lot about his status right now.
