Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has Molde’s Blessing to Stay at Man United Long Term

Today saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer make it nine wins and zero losses in ten games as Manchester United caretaker manager, as his side emerged victorious 1-0 at Leicester City today. You can not argue with results and if they keep coming like this, then perhaps the 45-year-old Norwegian will get to keep the gig full time. Solskjaer revealed that his current club, Norwegian side Molde, would support him if this situation comes to fruition.

Manchester United look to make it nine wins from nine under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when they host Burnley FC Tuesday night. What Solskjaer has been able to do is nothing short of astounding, as the Red Devils are on the verge of matching Jose Mourinho’s 2016-17 side for putting together a winning streak that has not been seen since the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Prior to the last outing, a 3-1 win at Arsenal in the FA Cup 4th round, Solskjaer showed his team some videos of himself in his playing days. The former striker was known as the “baby faced assassin” in those days, and footage of his prolific counter-attacks helped inspire United to victory.

Paul Pogba Could Only Leave United for Two Teams, Says Brother Florentin

Now that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has replaced Jose Mourinho, talk of Paul Pogba leaving Manchester United has pretty much dissipated. No single player has been involved in as many goals as Pogba since Solskjaer took over, and the interim boss even said today that the Frenchman is team captain material again.

While the midfielder obviously didn’t get along at with the previous manager, he seems to have found himself again under the new boss. He’s flourishing, and now performing at a level commensurate with the expectations that accompany the most expensive player in English football history.

Paul Pogba is Team Captain Material Says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

With Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young out, Paul Pogba captained Manchester United in their season opening win over Leicester City. The Frenchman would go on to wear the captain’s armband nine times this season while Jose Mourinho was in charge. However, it wasn’t long before Mourinho made it publicly known that the midfielder was no longer vice-captain, all the while claiming that no issue/tension existed between the two men.

Well, not many people believed the manager when he made these claims, and when a completely match fit Paul Pogba was inexplicably benched during the Portugese’s final three matches in charge, the narrative that the two men were at odds with one another only became more strongly reinforced.

Solskjaer Says Alexis Sanchez Will Be Motivated By Boos When Facing Former Team

alexis sanchez

A year ago at this time, Alexis Sanchez was completing his transfer from Arsenal to Manchester United, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way. As the Chilean was finalizing his move, he posted a video of his boarding a private jet to leave the club with Robert Tepper’s “No Easy Way Out” (from the “Rocky IV” soundtrack) playing in the background as a story on his Instagram account.

The song choice conveyed the tension that surrounded both the end of his time with the Gunners and his exit from the club. Tomorrow night sees Sanchez returning to the Emirates for the first time since the switch, and it’s very likely the boo birds will be out for him.
