Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has made it known that he’s looking to get first team football; whether it’s at Manchester United or elsewhere. He has repeatedly said that being in a starting XI is his top priority regarding where his future lies. After failing to earn a permanent move to Real Madrid, and seemingly not being a major part of Louis van Gaal’s plans, the Mexico forward may have to look elsewhere for a starting spot.
From the looks of things, West Ham United may oblige.
According to a poll of NBC Universo fans, the future of Chicharito was the top storyline of interest in the season opener.
The Daily Star claims that the Hammers are willing to meet the £12 million asking price for Chicharito. Hernandez, who was reportedly the fastest player at the 2010 World Cup, being clocked at 19.98 miles per hour at one point, has been pursued by WHUFC quite a bit this week, according to the tabloids. He’s also been linked to Tottenham Hotspur and supposedly turned down a couple MLS sides: L.A. Galaxy and Orlando City SC.
