Doing a world football power rankings is quite the ambitious project. There are so many leagues to watch and analyze, but as you would expect the top ten would always be all Europe.
Shaka Hislop of ESPN FC releases a power rankings almost every week, and it’s almost always all Europe in his top ten list. Last year, he had Racing Club and River Plate (both from Buenos Aires, Argentina) in there once or twice but usually it’s all Europe, as it is this week.
Tottenham Hotspur finally found their way into the power rankings last week, checking in at #9. This week Spurs moved up a spot to #9.
Without further ado, here is the link to the Hislop, ESPN FC power rankings. Manchester City have now dropped out. Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur are the only two Premier League clubs in the power rankings. Bayern Munich are #2 (they were also second last week) and Barcelona remain first
Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus round out the top five.
