Loan move number two this season is imminent for Tottenham Hotspur left back Sergio Reguilon. According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the agreement is in place for Reguilon to make the short trip across old London town to Brentford FC. The 27-year-old Spaniard will join the Bees on loan until the end of the season, and with no option to buy clause present in the deal, he’ll return to Spurs next season.
Reguilon will have his Brentford medical tomorrow (Wednesday), then it’s only paperwork left to be completed before this transfer move becomes official.

Honestly, this has been a pretty boring January transfer window, when you consider how we’re past the halfway point now, and we haven’t seen a ton of deals. Don’t blame Tottenham though, as they have been the most active and interesting club, in all of the Premier League, this winter window. They have signed Timo Werner on loan and Radu Dragusin outright, already this month.
As for Reguilon, he just doesn’t fit in at Tottenham, and he didn’t get a ton of tick at Manchester United, the club where he spent the first half of this season on loan, either.
Although United fans were overall pleased with the effort he gave, when it was learned his time was up. He brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm, along with a very professional work ethic, but he needs to find a new club where he truly fits in.
Of course that can wait until the summer. For now, he’s a proud member of the Bees.
