Manchester United picked to finish third by supercomputer

It’s an extremely topsy-turvy, head to predict Barclay’s Premier League race this year. Manchester United will be the title chase, but their noisy neighbors, Manchester City look like the best, most consistent team right now. Arsenal will no doubt be up there in the end as well.

Every season, you’ll find a shock team or two up near the top in the early going. This year, we have two. Crystal Palace is in fourth, and Leicester City, who were promoted just last season, are in fifth. That won’t last.

Neither will abysmal struggles of Chelsea. They are the surprise of the season thus far. No one thought the defending champions and consensus favorite to repeat would be just two slots above the drop zone right now.

Stats.com had their giant supercomputer run the numbers and make projections on how the table will look when all is said and done.

This link at talkSPORT shows the points tally for Manchester United, as well as every other team. Here’s the full final table projection. Interesting that they have Chelsea coming all the way back to reach the top four and qualify for Europe again.

1- Manchester City
2- Arsenal
3 – Manchester United
4- Chelsea
5- Liverpool
6- Tottenham Hotspur
7- Everton
8- Southampton
9- Crystal Palace
10- West Ham United
11- Swansea City
12- Stoke City
13- Leicester City
14 – West Bromwich Albion
15- Newcastle United
16- Norwich City
17- Watford
18- Bournemouth
19- Aston Villa
20- Sunderland
