Sir Alex Ferguson, the man who brought you David Moyes as his successor, is standing by the embattled Manchester United boss. Moyes is having massive issues this year in his debut season at the helm, and everyone has weighed in with an opinion of what the Red Devils should do about it. Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he will not come out of retirement to manage the club and he also gave another affirmation of his faith in Moyes.
“They (United) will be all right,” said Ferguson, speaking in Los Angeles at a party thrown by British Consul-General Chris O’Connor ahead of the Oscars.
“It’s early days and there have been a lot of changes. He (Moyes) needs time. I was there for 27 years, so with a new manager, it takes time. But they’ll be okay.”
Sir Alex Ferguson does have a point. He took over the club in 1986, and they didn’t win a trophy until 1990.
