Valencia tried to lure Ryan Giggs to Spain before they went for Gary Neville – but the Manchester United legend believes that he’s in line to take over from Louis van Gaal, claims a story in the Daily Mirror.
The Sunday Mirror had a story claiming that the current United assistant boss has an ironclad guarantee that he will inherit the job once Van Gaal retires.
This supplements the other narratives that have emerged this week regarding both Ryan Giggs and the Red Devils managerial position.
The caretaker manager during the final matches of 2013-14 has been linked as a candidate to take over at Swansea City. While at the same time, it’s been reported that Manchester United have escalated their interest and approach to Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola. So there’s a whole lot going on here in the managerial transfer gossip. Only time will tell who is ultimately correct about where Ryan Giggs, etc all end up.
