Edurne, David de Gea’s Girlfriend, House Hunting for the Couple in Madrid

Spanish pop star Edurne Garcia, better known by her stage name Edurne is the girlfriend of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea. She currently lives in two places, splitting time between Madrid and Manchester. It was widely considered that Edurne was one of the major reasons why De Gea previously desired a return to his hometown of Madrid.

In the summer of 2015 we had to endure daily De Gea “will he stay at Manchester United, or move to Real Madrid?” updates to the point that it exceeded egregious tedium. The whole repetitive soap opera ended fittingly with a fax machine snafu kiboshing the transfer at the midnight hour.

Shortly after the potential move crumbled, due to logistical failings, De Gea signed a long term deal to remain at Old Trafford. That said, we still might have to endure Edurne driven transfer speculation AGAIN this summer. She’s reportedly house hunting for the power couple in the Spanish capital, and the press in both Spain and England see this as the singer dropping a major hint today, supposedly, that a De Gea move to Real could be in the near future.

The narratives originated from Diario Gol. Here’s a little more on the developing story via the Daily Star:

it’s claimed she wants a new, larger home in Madrid to start a family in.

The search for a new place is said to be in the La Finca region, where Real stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos all live.

This isn’t the first time Edurne has driven De Gea transfer speculation headlines. In a May 2015 interview, designed to plug her performance in the upcoming Eurovision contest, numerous questions about the Spain and United #1’s future were asked and the end result was extremely awkward and very poorly handled.

Also, in case you want to see Edurne sing, here’s a link to her performance at Eurovision.
