David de Gea Only United Player Named to Ballon d’Or Short List

David de Gea is one of seven Premier League players named to the Ballon d’Or short list which was announced today. De Gea is the only United player to make the list, as Paul Pogba was among the most blatant snubs from the list, if not the most glaring omission.

The full Ballon d’Or list, which honors the best player in the world for both club and country combined (not just club), is below.

Chelsea and Liverpool each landed two on the list, while Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City got one each, to round out the representation from the British top flight.
