Looks like Liverpool supporters won’t have to wait much longer for the return of Daniel Sturridge. While England Manager Roy Hodgson will feature Sturridge tonight in Euro 2016, Press Association Sport understands the striker trained with the full Liverpool group – those not involved in internationals – at the club’s Melwood training ground on Tuesday afternoon.
Break out the Sturridge dance, Liverpool supporters.
Sturridge hasn’t featured for Liverpool under new Manager Jurgen Klopp yet, having suffered a knee injury versus Tottenham Hotspur on October 17th. The young scorer has suffered from a chronic hip injury, which has limited him to just 242 minutes of action on the pitch this season.
The same problem kept him out of the line-up for the final six weeks of last season.
