Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko, currently plying his trade with AC Milan, finds himself amidst controversy over questionable decisions made on social media. Bakayoko was a £40 million flop in his first season at Chelsea, and his time in Milan has been disastrous as well.
Before making his move to Chelsea from Monaco, you might recall Bakayoko engaging in some goofy behavior on Twitter. He geo-tagged some Tweets to Manchester while he was making the switch to London for no apparent worthwhile reason. The ruse didn’t really work though as United were out in Los Angeles conducting preseason training activities.
Now Bakayoko is catching some grief for liking the tweet below, made by Bakayoko countryman for former Monaco teammate Anthony Martial.

He has since unliked it, but not before some Chelsea fans on Twitter called him out, while some United fans on the micro-blogging platform responded favorably. While this isn’t the crime of the century or anything, it’s pretty bad form to celebrate a player putting in a dominant performance on your parent club.
Martial was the man of the match yesterday, scoring both of United’s goals in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea. Thus, reveling his glory is indeed an obvious swipe at Chelsea. Bakayoko should really know better by this point, having already learned how much people overanalyze and overreact to tweets.
