What’s the latest news surrounding the world’s biggest club? Here’s what the internet has been talking about today pertaining to Manchester United.
Juan Mata is one of United’s most important players both on and off the pitch because he speaks his mind and conveys leadership. Since he moved over from Chelsea in January of 2014, Mata has been a guy who often addresses the the club and team’s issues head on. He’s been a vocal leader.
This year, it’s all about the massive struggles the club has seen this year in spite of the big name, big money acquisitions.
Paul Pogba has had a rough few weeks in 2016; well about as rough a few weeks as you can actually have when you’re young, famous, in perfect physical shape/health and owner of the richest contract ever for a footballer.
The point is, his first few games with Manchester United have been kind of a flop and he’s taken a lot of flack for it due to his massive contract. However on November 6th versus Swansea City, Pogba ended his four game goal scoring drought. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who signed as a free agent this summer, but will make the 6th highest single season salary of any footballer in the world this year also snapped his scoreless drought.
Zlatan’s dry spell lasted six games.
Mata said both players are now adjusting to life at United much better now. Juan Mata told Marca: “It’s true that the rhythm in France and Italy is very different but we are talking about two incredible players, without a doubt. The expectations are very high, but I think they are doing a very good job.”
