Manchester United will head to the Bet365 Stadium, otherwise known as the Britannia Stadium, before selling out the name to a corporation, in Stoke-on-Trent at pretty much full strength. Defender Eric Bailly is the only notable absentee, as he’ll be away on international duty for the Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations.
They really don’t have any injuries at all for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Stoke City.
Luke Shaw is now back at full fitness, but unlikely to feature in this one. He’s running out of chances at United, with summer transfer rumors swirling, but his agent insists he wants to stay, and it is thought that United have not totally given up on him as of yet. Marcos Rojo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Michael Carrick have all recently recovered from setbacks nicely, and shown already that they are in top form. Thus United will have almost all hands on deck against Stoke.
Match Odds:
United- 5/8 Draw- 16/5 Stoke City- 53/10
Here’s the link to our MUFC starting XI prediction against Stoke.
Prediction: Manchester United 2, Stoke City 1
Although their nine game winning streak is over, they still have a ton of positive momentum, as they’re undefeated in their last 16. Look for them to get this train rolling down the tracks against a much less talented squad.
