Rex Ryan: Chicago Bears are NOT interested

Of course, the Chicago Bears aren’t interested in Rex Ryan. He’s the polar opposite of their corporate culture. Ryan is an arrogant, brash loudmouth who says whatever he feels like saying in public. Chicago Bears coaches have to be, and can only be, someone who’s quiet, soft-spoken, and always on their pre-scripted message all the time.

We’ll come back to this, first here’s More on Rex Ryan from NBC Sports Mike Florio:

“One place he’s not heading is Chicago. I’m told the Bears have no interest in Rex Ryan as a head coaching candidate…The Raiders have some interest in Rex Ryan, they’ve yet to request an interview. The Falcons have considerably more interest.”

So even though Rex Ryan is the son of Chicago Bears legend Buddy Ryan, the Mediocres of the Midway have no interest?

It just reinforces the ideals priotitized by the Bears. At Halas Hall, every bit of information is on a need to know basis, and basically none of you ever need to know, in their eyes.

Rex Ryan is way too much of a loose cannon for the Bears Pentagon like information control and propaganda dissemination. Their loss! Ryan is a guy who would be beloved here, and could win here. He’s the best case scenario for the Bears. However, the madness of King George McCaskey won’t allow it, so it’s on to the next one.

So far the Bears have interviewed Denver Broncos Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase and Seattle Seahawks Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn as potential replacements for Marc Trestman.
