Jay Cutler is 38-26 with the Bears as a starter. He’s 4-4 this year. Cutty’s passer rating is 88.4 for the season, 84.4 for the year. Time for a good old fashioned QB controversy. Even though there really shouldn’t be one. This really isn’t a discussion.
Sorry, Jay Cutler is still the guy. Always has been in 2013. And always will be in 2013. End of story. That’s it.
Of course, maybe we don’t have CuttyDoesIt at noon on Sunday versus Cleveland. Maybe Cutler’s not ready yet. Josh McCown has the hot hand and he’s getting it done. His play this year, much more so than Cutler’s play, has shown us that Marc Trestman is truly the quarterback whisperer. I know you’ve heard that over and over again, but it’s true. Josh McCown led the Bears to a season high 45 points, and on all eight drives the Bears scored. Josh McCown led an offense that turned the ball over zero times and punted zero times.
