Marouane Fellaini Says United are in a Little Crisis

Big Belgian star Marouane Fellaini admits that Manchester United are “in a little crisis” as they take on Northampton in the third round of the EFL Cup tomorrow night. United are looking to end their miserable three game losing stretch on Wednesday evening. Given how well the season began, with the Red Devils winning their first three league games, plus an another triumph over defending champions Leicester City in the Community Shield, what’s happened since is quite alarmingly unexpected.

This is United; where periods as bad as last week are totally unacceptable. They’ll try to right the ship at 7:45 BST against a League 1 side.

“We can say it’s a little crisis because a club like Manchester United cannot lose three games,” Marouane Fellaini told French TV station SFR Sport. “Yes it’s low, but we are men and we must stand up together and show ourselves.

“To lose was a tough moment, but we must be ready to go again on Wednesday. We need to focus. At the moment heads are down but, as I said, we must stand together and fight and show that we are confident.”

“At half-time, the manager told us to come out and play with confidence and we did that by grabbing the goal. We played with tempo and we need to start doing that from the first minute.” (h/t Sky Sports)
