Liverpool Football Club were the undisputed champions of the summer transfer window, leading all experts to believe they would be Manchester City’s biggest threat to repeating as Premier League champions. Through the first seven games of the season, the script has unfolded that way as it’s Liverpool FC level on points with City up at the top of the table.
