The Liverpool FC summer transfer window is finally starting to come alive. We had an exclusive interview  a couple weeks ago with Ian Rush, and during the Q&A the clubs’s all-time leading scorer said that he expects Anfield to make a couple signings this summer.

A couple days later, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said his club, as well as any other elite club, must spend big in order to get/remain relevant. LFC’s first signing of the summer was Sepp van den Berg, a 17-year-old PEC Zwolle central defender, who was sought after by Bayern Munich, Ajax and Sampdoria, among others.

The second signing will be Fulham whiz kid Harvey Elliott, who set a new record this past May when he became the youngest player to feature in Premier League history. Anfield reportedly beat out the likes of Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig to the punch for the 16-year-old.

Go here for much more on him. According to 90 Min, Elliott will be in the Merseyside club’s first team plans this season.

Elsewhere, Champions League hero, Belgian international and back up striker Divock Origi has signed a new contract extension.

Left back Alberto Moreno said his official goodbyes to Liverpool last month, but we didn’t learn where his next destination was going to be until just a few days ago. It’s now official- the defender will now ply his trade with Villareal in La Liga.

Finally, but most importantly, we cover another player who officially left Liverpool just last month- Daniel Sturridge. He still has not found a new team, although he has been linked with Aston Villa.

Beyond all that though, someone broke into his house Monday night and stole his dog!!!! Go here for more on that, the reward being offered for the puppy’s safe return and how you can get in contact with Sturridge to help, if you have any relevant information.
