While promoting his new vanity-project film “Ronaldo,” interstellar galactico Cristiano Ronaldo took a blatant shot at his former Real Madrid Angel Di Maria. Ronaldo said the Manchester United flop, now with Paris Saint Germain, lacks the desire that has helped make him an all-time great.
CR7 believes that the Portugese winner lacks the fine edge and competitiveness it takes to be the elite among the elite. Ronaldo told the Daily Mail:
“At 88 minutes gone in the final, I looked for Di Maria and I saw him face down thinking: ‘we have a better team but we are going to lose.’ But I always believe.”
“I will always say that it doesn’t matter if you play good or bad, as long as you win. In 20 years, no-one will look back and say; ‘they played better, they created more chances.’ It just depends on who wins.”
Perhaps the relationship between Di Maria and Ronaldo has become strained since his £59.7 million flop and then his long, ugly protracted transfer out to PSG.
