Manchester United learned today who their next opponent will be in the Capital One Cup. On the heels of a dominating 3-0 home win over Ipswich Town today, the Red Devils drew Middlesborough, who beat Wolverhampton Wolves by the exact same 3-0 score.
United advanced to the next round on the strength of their forwards, as Wayne Rooney, Andreas Pereira and Anthony Martial all scored today. Although this isn’t the biggest brand name trophy in the business, it would be big for Louis van Gaal to deliver a trophy of some sort to Old Trafford. It’s something he hasn’t accomplished yet since he succeeded David Moyes.
These matches, the round of 16, will be held in the week of Oct. 26th, 2015. Left side denotes the home team.
