The phrase “that’s gangsta” is often thrown around to describe big time spending. That’s exactly what Manchester United did this summer, buying four new players, three of which are represented by super agent Mino Raiola. Sure, Jorge Mendes is regarded to be the super agent of world football, but look at what Raiola has accomplished.
One of his clients, Paul Pogba, inspired United to break the world transfer fee record at £89.3 million. Raiola got a £20 million commission on that.
And he’s made one hell of an awesome purchase. It’s literally gangsta. Raiola bought the Miami mansion of notorious Chicago gangster Al Capone. Via FOX Soccer
The £7 million property in Miami features three buildings, a private beach and a large swimming pool. Al Capone lived there from 1928 until his death in 1947, and the mansion remained in the Capone family until the 1970s. It has stood empty since 2011 and was restored last year with £1.35 million in renovations.
Supposedly, Al Capone was at this location when the infamous St. Valentine’s Day massacre occurred on Clark Street in Chicago on February 14th, 1929. Thus Raiola has purchased a part of history.
