Real Madrid Team News at Cadiz: Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga

vinicius jr

International breaks are awful, and we say that each and every time one transpires, but this past one was next level catastrophic for Real Madrid and their supporters. (Ditto for FC Barcelona, but we covered that already). Vinicius Jr. got seriously injured while playing for Brazil while Eduardo Camavinga suffered the same fate while on international duty with France.

Yikes and yikes! The injuries are piling up fast for Los Blancos as they approach their next match, a road fixture at Cadiz.

Real Madrid Team News

Let’s start with Vini who suffered a re-aggravation of the same issue that kept him sidelined for a few weeks earlier this season. This time it could be worse, as he’s been diagnosed with a tear in his left femoral bicep which is adversely impacting the tendon in his hamstring. He’s out for about 10 weeks.

Moving on to Camavinga, he suffered a knee injury while in training with the French national team, and he will be sidelined for a similar period of time.

That pair will now joint the following trio of long-term absentees: Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao and Arda Guler.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, the new No. 1 in place of the injured Courtois, will likely miss out again due to injury, but should be back very soon.
